Gilroy Concrete was founded in 2023 by a concrete crew that had spent years working South Bay job sites before going independent. The business is based in Gilroy, right at the southern end of Santa Clara County, and serves homeowners and commercial clients from Morgan Hill down to Hollister and north toward San Jose and Sunnyvale.
Gilroy homes sit on clay-heavy soil that swells every wet winter and shrinks back every dry summer. That ground movement is one of the biggest causes of cracked driveways and shifting slabs in this area, and it is something our crews account for on every job. Knowing local conditions is not a talking point for us - it shapes how we prep the ground before we ever pour.
From the newer subdivisions on the east side of town to the older streets near downtown and the historic district, we have worked on Gilroy homes of every age and style. Whether the project is a new driveway, a backyard patio, a foundation repair, or a commercial parking lot, the process is the same: do the base work right, communicate clearly, and finish the job the way we said we would.
We are a small, owner-operated company. The person who answers the phone is connected to the crew doing your job. That means fewer miscommunications, faster responses, and a team that genuinely cares whether the finished work holds up over time.
You get a written, itemized estimate before any work begins. If anything changes mid-project, we talk to you first - not after the invoice arrives.
Every slab gets proper base prep for Gilroy soil conditions. We do not skip the gravel layer or rush the ground compaction to save time.
We show up when we say we will and keep your project moving. Your schedule matters, and we treat your property with respect from demo to cleanup.
We know Gilroy clay soil, city permit requirements, and HOA rules in the neighborhoods we work in every week. That knowledge shows in the finished product.
Issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB), the C-8 classification covers all phases of concrete work including flatwork, foundations, and decorative concrete. Holding this license requires passing a trade exam and maintaining an active bond and insurance policy - protections that flow directly to you as the property owner.
Every job is covered by active general liability insurance. If something unexpected happens on your property during the project, you are protected. We can provide a certificate of insurance before work begins - just ask.
